Digital Design

It’s strange to talk about digital design as a special category when these days, everything that’s designed has a digital iteration. When it comes to branding, marketing, and editorial creative, every design that’s created is part of a bigger digital picture. This page is a sampling of some of my digital design work, including social media posts and stories, web banners, and email graphics.

When Digital Design Meets Online Events

I can’t talk about digital design without showing off some of the work I created for Aspen Group’s yearly event, “Design Week.” This five-day online event brought attention and recognition to their design team and consisted of webinars, videos, Facebook events, and free downloadable resources. The aim of the event was to answer pressing questions of how design intersects the church, focusing on three main areas: generation z, hybrid church, and mental & emotional health.

It was fun Art Directing the overarching brand design for this event and designing the array of assets was a little dizzying (there was so much to do to make it all come together!). Since this event would be experienced online, on social media, and via webinars, my design approach was first and foremost to make sure the design jumped off the page in a positive, clear way. I developed a vibrant color palette to be used to highlight each of the three themes and made sure that each piece reflected a fun energy that the event would embrace. I also wanted to make sure that the brand identity would be memorable and relevant for years to come.

Besides the visual identity and brand guide, some of the deliverables I designed for this digital event was a webpage, blog articles, banner ads, social media posts and stories, email graphics, and several PDF downloadable resources.
