I have quite a history with book cover and interior design. I was sort of “brought up” in the world of book publishing at my first job at a creative agency. There, I spent sixteen years designing books for various publishing clients, so I consider it the foundation of my career as an art director. It’s been fun to look back and see my path from print book design, to print magazines, to digital magazines, to digital marketing, to web—and even to content and social media marketing. But books have always been my “first love,” and I still find them one of my favorite things to design. They even gave me inspiration to start writing and to eventually publish my first novel.
