Event Branding Design

It’s fun to art direct creative for an event—it’s really no different from designing a brand identity. I’ve designed a lot of branding for in person and online events, as well as all of the assets that go with it.

One example is the branding I art directed for Aspen Group’s in-person event, “You Are Here,” (for their Alignment Conference). I took inspiration from the theme of building community where you are, and created a logo lock up with a map pin and the buildings emerging through it. The design succeeded in connecting instantly to the theme of the event and was easily reproducible in various ways: a print notebook, postcards, invites, a swag bag, a mug, a plethora of digital images for web, email, social media, and more!

I also translated the design into print and digital directional signage for the event, retractable banners, and a stage design using a two layered cut-out of the buildings that was placed in front of the main screen, which built on the theme and added dimension to the stage set-up.
